Watch this video of Mrs Spinage using a list to work out how much food to feed each of the zoo animals.

You can try this at home by making a list of animals and adding how much to feed each one.  You can adapt this activity to suit your child by drawing the food, drawing a dot pattern or writing a digit.

Your child can then count out the number of food items from a larger set.  They may or may not need support to count accurately.  

Challenge: Your child may like to make their own list of how much to feed the animals, making marks for the animals and food or numbers in their own way.
