Outdoor Adventures-Summer Term

 Outdoor Adventures-Summer Term

We have had one morning and one afternoon Outdoor Adventure this term.  We enjoyed looking for and identifying daisies and the cherry tree.  We played hide and seek, and had fun looking for hiding places, then calling "One, Two, Three, Here I am!" to help the seekers find us!

We had a snail theme.  We heard the story of Norman the slug with a silly shell (Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet), and then we enjoyed searching the area for mini-beasts. We found ladybird larvae (baby ladybirds) and were surprised to find they were black and orange and did not look at all like an adult ladybird. This was similar to when our tadpoles changed into frogs!

Some children also noticed the area had changed and now all the trees have leaves and a lot of the bushes and plants have grown bigger.

Enjoy looking at the photos, can you name any of the other mini-beasts we found?
