Icing biscuits in Nursery

 We finished off our half term of learning about eggs and animals which hatch from eggs by icing some egg shaped biscuits.  

We then enjoyed eating them!

Instructions from the children:

1. Put icing on

2. Put sprinkles on the biscuits

3. Eat them

They said biscuits were "sweet, nice and yummy" and we learnt the word "delicious"

 Literacy Learning in Nursery

Last week we discovered a muddy puddle and some footprints in Nursery.....

    

After some detective work we discovered that the mess was made by cows, pigs and a duck who discovered some 'lovely mud' to jump in.

This lead to our focus story called Mrs Wishy Washy. 

We have had fun the past two weeks learning more about the story, making mud, washing animals and even making our own version of the story as a class.  Next week we will each make our own version of the story to retell.

Handling ducklings in Nursery

Enjoy looking at photos of the children carefully handling the ducklings in Nursery this week.  We are learning lots about how to care for living things and have been using gentle hands and quiet voices when near the ducklings.
